Our journey began in 1990 when Gary Hughes founded us as a franchised Rent-To-Own brand, with a clear mission: to help families access quality products. The year 2008 marked a significant milestone with Kacee Hayes joining as an accountant. Her dedication and vision led her to become a partner and, eventually, in 2020, the sole owner of the company.
This transition in leadership wasn’t just about ownership; it was an opportunity to redefine our identity. In 2024, we proudly embraced this new chapter by rebranding as RENTown, a move that signified our independence as a locally owned and operated business.
Building on our existing presence in Pocatello, Twin Falls, Mountain Home, Lewiston, and Pasco, we’re excited to announce our expansion with the recent purchase of four additional rent-to-own stores in Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, and Ontario.
